Almost as Billy finished pounding on it, the door opened with a jerk. What he saw inside the house made his heart sink. In an instant he saw a man crouched against an opposite wall, and holding an asault rifle. Billy shouted, "he's got a gun" and lunged away from the doorway. He crashed through the wooden handrail and landed unconscious in the bushes.
